I attended an officemate’s birtday party yesterday, I was accompanied by another former officemate who told me that he just recently resigned from his current job, being in the same company but now on different accounts, I was happy for my friend since he’s been dealing with a lot of hardships trying to pull up his stats in the last few months, now he’s ready to move on … hoping for a better career and a better life, best of luck to you bro.
Knowing what my current state is, I’ve come to realize that I’ve been pretty much stagnant ever since I moved to my current employer. The last few years were a bit ok, but things have been in a really steep climb recently, all of us in my team has had some minor and major disappointments with all of the changes, we’ve been dealing with colleague’s who’ve felt distressed and therefore abandoned the team to pursue greener pasture, and there’s the added work load which made the job more depressing and unrelentlessly boring and the worst part (for me maybe) is the passivity of the situation thus making me (us) feel that we’re unproductive and incompetent.
Right now, I’m still stuck and waiting, I’ve applied for several other jobs last week, I’ll just have to sit back and hope against hope that I’d find my own greener pasture.

This’ll be my last day on an afternoon shift, just as I was getting at ease with it … shucks!! Well, I just gotta remind myself that my job has shifting schedules, either way it’s been a great experience to be waking up normally with moderate vehicular traffic unlike the sucky 9 to 5 shift, I would rather have a graveyard shift than to have that schedule.
I guess the highlight of being in the b-shift was when I was driving along white plains subdivision a few days back, I was about to turn left when a speeding car cut me off, I was almost fumed by the recklessness of the driver when I realized he/she was driving a silver toned Subaru Impreza. I was like looking at it straingt, dumb-fucked! almost blown away by the beauty that’s in front of me, almost embarrased on how my car looks, hehehe, too bad, I only got a glimpse of it for a moment when it turned right into the subdivision’s gates. *sigh!
Tomorrow’s gonna be another day and the week will start on another morning-less work shift.
I had to commute to work today, my car is banned to roam the streets of metro manila because of the color-coding scheme. This was the first time in months that I had to commute, I used to do it everyday, but ever since I had a car for myself I haven’t managed to do it again. I was suppose to borrow my dad’s car but my aunt was able to get to it first … tough luck.
I was thinking of just getting a cab to get to the office, but I remembered not having been able to ride LRT 2 (Light Rail Transit 2) yet, which is almost near our vicinity, so I decided to just do it the old-school way (though, not nearly as old-school as riding a jeepney!).
I had to re-schedule my car engines tune-up this week to give way to the sudden misfortune of a busted tire. One of my tires, specifically the one situated at the back-right side of my car blew up when I was on my way home a few days back. Since my spare tire doesn’t have the same height, size and rim design as my current one’s, I used the money I’ve alloted to the supposed engine tune-up.
I’ve convinced myself to get a pair of it so as to prevent future blow ups. I bought brand new tires last june which is currently situated in the two front wheels, the back wheels got the second hand tires, but now 4 wheels got the same new one’s on each, the ride’s smoother with less bumps on it’s shocks and I can be sure that I won’t be pulling my wheel jack in the next few months because of another tire blowing up … I just hope my engine can slug it out until next pay day.
