Boys Of Summer

April 26, 2006

The weekend settled amazingly, I joined the company outing and it was a blast. I never thought that I’d have so much fun with my colleagues, in fact it was a whole lot better that I’ve expected. How we’d wish it was an overnight affair, but either way at the end of that tiring day it was so worth it.

The sun was basking gorgeously in the early morning sky, stupid me to have forgotten my old-reliable SLR camera. Maybe I was quite conscious to even bring it, I’d be an underdog against those digicams and DSLR’s, but that’s the least of my worries, I’d be worried though if I left my mp3 player at home, I’d be slumped without music on a long and tiring ride.

I’d be putting up photos probably in the next day or two, I’d have to scour them from buddies of mine who have ‘em, and off-course I gotta load ‘em up on flickr, as for now this post will be as bare as an elephant’s butt.

Holey Weak

April 14, 2006

Went to file my income tax a few days back, it was an experience but not too much so as to be remembered, an activity I’d be happier not to repeat, actually, it’ll probably depend if I’m gonna move out and get a new job (again), which makes me more hesitant on finding one.

The week turned out ok, except me getting sick again, since yesterday, it really does suck! its a pain, while I’m ackwardly sniffing snots I’m also being aimed for skin diseases by ultra-violet rays as I’m painfully strolling, basking in the sun. Next weekend will be a different story though, company outing is due, its gonna be this saturday, HELL YEAH!! its gonna be one hell of a party!! booze! booze! and more booze!

T.G.I.F.F

April 7, 2006

Here’s the deal, I’m really too lazy to write nowadays, since there’s really nothing much goin’ on, well, there was this supposedly “big thing” that happened a few months back, but that stuff is boring as hell, and I now realize just how shitty and what a stupid nonsense it was.

A week after being dumped in the morning shift at work, I can probably say that I’ve managed my time well, in a 5 day work shift I’ve attained a level of responsibility out of it, a ratio of 3:2 lates isn’t a bad thing, after all I’m still coping with all its chaos, afternoon traffic, the hoards of people out in the streets and off course the all mighty sun.

Having this early shift does have a few quirks, hmmm, actually there’s nothing I can think off, hahaha! but its ok in someways, I get to go home early, or probably go to the mall or something, or I could go to my buddy’s house and hit on sweet mary jane (pucker up!). I now understand why “TGIF” is so fuckin’ hip with yuppies! its the best day of the week, you get to do whatever the fuck you want without minding work! and if I can re-phrase it, it’d be TGIFF, “Thank God It’s FUCKIN’ Friday”.

Zero Signal

January 13, 2006

Got nothin’ much to post after the holidays, something went on, but definitely uninteresting. Work has been so far, very much mediocre, an email here, troubleshoot there, but definitely better than the previous. Most of the tools that we use are now activated for my account, that which makes it more flexible when troubleshooting stuff, especially when it comes to accessing remote servers.

Worn Out

December 6, 2005

Wasting time doing nothing in the confines of the new company’s training room, a couple of co-trainees gobbling up free meal left-overs offered by a generous employee early in the evening, another, one actually situated just next to me si ruthlessly exploiting corporate internet bandwidth, playing online rpg games, and a buddy of mine a co-former-call-center agent doing the same thing.

We just had our lunches and are back to heat-up our comfy reclinable chairs to waste another 4 hours as corporate slaves. Several tech leads had walked-by to ensure that our questions are given adequate attention, a couple of laughs are blurted out right thanks to non-sense and somewhat stupid questions, I guess that’s the reason why we’re trainees, to open up and spew out scrutinizable inquiries.

Ending The Key In ‘B’

September 11, 2005

This’ll be my last day on an afternoon shift, just as I was getting at ease with it … shucks!! Well, I just gotta remind myself that my job has shifting schedules, either way it’s been a great experience to be waking up normally with moderate vehicular traffic unlike the sucky 9 to 5 shift, I would rather have a graveyard shift than to have that schedule.

I guess the highlight of being in the b-shift was when I was driving along white plains subdivision a few days back, I was about to turn left when a speeding car cut me off, I was almost fumed by the recklessness of the driver when I realized he/she was driving a silver toned Subaru Impreza. I was like looking at it straingt, dumb-fucked! almost blown away by the beauty that’s in front of me, almost embarrased on how my car looks, hehehe, too bad, I only got a glimpse of it for a moment when it turned right into the subdivision’s gates. *sigh!

Tomorrow’s gonna be another day and the week will start on another morning-less work shift.

Urban Journey

September 6, 2005

I had to commute to work today, my car is banned to roam the streets of metro manila because of the color-coding scheme. This was the first time in months that I had to commute, I used to do it everyday, but ever since I had a car for myself I haven’t managed to do it again. I was suppose to borrow my dad’s car but my aunt was able to get to it first … tough luck.

I was thinking of just getting a cab to get to the office, but I remembered not having been able to ride LRT 2 (Light Rail Transit 2) yet, which is almost near our vicinity, so I decided to just do it the old-school way (though, not nearly as old-school as riding a jeepney!).

Swinging By

August 6, 2005

Had to file a leave from work yesterday, the rain kept pouring all day up until today, it somehow gave me that eerie depressing feeling, to make words simplier, I got sick, I had to attend to medication once again. Rented several movies to keep me company while on this yet another bed-ridden phase (I don’t have cable … bite me!), a couple of new one’s, a comedy and those supposedly witty-suspense-drama-type-o-crap, nothing much to say about them films, funny thing is I keep falling asleep even before I get to disc 2 … hmmm, I guess the drugs do work.

Ever since I’ve switched my desktop from Windows XP’s luna theme for FlyakiteOSX, I keep finding myself stuck on my pc just for the fun of doing something with it, mainly staring at it. The theme is amazing, it’s got sweet icons, great shadow effects, almost an authentic OSX feel but the best part is that it doesn’t hog much system resource, it’s a great alternative for people like me who don’t get to use MAC’s all the time.

I had to give up my SuSe partition since my ever-growing files of mp3’s, mpeg’s and downloaded software keeps piling up. I haven’t had the time to burn it on a cd yet, but I will one of these days, then I can revive my linux partition; I’ll probably install Fedora back on it, since I know more of it’s tweaks and tricks, maybe if I get a 200 GB drive then I’d install SuSe too, but for now, I’ll make do of what I have.
